割埔村在盘陀镇西南，背靠梁山，北面与和美村接壤，东侧邻近盘陀村与官陂村。源自梁山的小溪穿村而过，注入官陂溪，是盘陀溪的上游段。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

早年先民在葛藤丛生、地势平坦之处建社，称作葛埔。闽南语中“葛”与“割”读音相近，遂改称割埔。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

明末清初，谢、张、周三姓陆续迁入。清代此地属杂岭保。[3]

新中国成立之初归盘陀乡管辖，1958年划入盘陀公社；1984年改称割埔村，至1992年2月改隶盘陀镇。[1][3]

村中以张、程、莫、涂、曾、周、谢等姓为多。涂姓居盘陀涂、树下水阁等社，开基于明永乐年间。[2]
