山城村是石榴镇下辖的行政村，位于镇西北部，距镇区约17公里，北邻中西林场。[1]村庄四面环山，如同城池，故名山城。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代为山城保，属雍正十一年自南靖县划归漳浦的车田十五保之一。民国初期属象牙乡山城保。1932年，中央红军东路军攻占漳州、漳浦后，山城一带成立苏维埃，漳州中心县委机关曾设在山城。[1]

1958年9月，山城成为石榴公社的山城大队；1984年时是石榴乡的山城村，1990年起归石榴镇管辖，沿用至今。[1]

自然村与古迹[edit]

村辖8个自然村。村后山上有红军洞，一处天然石洞，游击队在反“围剿”期间曾在此躲藏。村东一公里处有栖云岩，即栖云庵，供奉佛像；据载，乌石探花林士章未出仕前曾在此读书。村口的青龙庵建于清乾隆年间，现保存完好。[1]

在小山城（博雅地名网的景点页称其在小山城村），有小山城革命烽火旧址，即吴氏祠堂，以及闽南红军游击队司令部旧址。[3]
