塔岭村在霞美镇西南部，北边紧挨山岭村，南边是下蔡林场，东边接前梧村，西边与杜浔镇的院边、林前两村相接。省道漳东线和漳诏高速公路从村北经过[1]。

名称与沿革[edit]

村名取塔坪、岭后两个自然村的各一字。这一带旧称戴坑，因戴姓聚居而得名。清初顺治年间属八都戴坑保，1700年改属九都。1940年归白石乡，设塔坪、岭后两保；1943年白石乡并入霞美乡，两保合为塔岭保。新中国初期为第四区旧镇区的塔岭乡，之后并入白石乡。1958年9月划归旧镇公社北江管理区；1961年7月设塔岭大队，隶溪仔墟公社，1964年改隶霞美公社。1984年称霞美乡塔岭村，1990年随乡改镇。[1]
