山岭村是霞美镇下辖的行政村，与塔岭村、前梧村、黄埔村等相邻。村名由「山头」「岭后」两个自然村名各取一字组合而成[1]。

沿革[edit]

清代分属八都与九都。民国时设山岭保，新中国时期为山岭乡。1961年7月组建山岭大队，隶溪仔墟公社；1964年9月溪仔墟公社撤销，改由霞美公社管辖。1984年称霞美乡山岭村，1990年随乡改镇。[1]
