湖里村在杜浔镇南部，东侧濒临浮头湾，西侧与城里村相接，南侧挨着北坂村，北侧是后姚村。[1][2]

村辖湖里、新厝、下寮、店后四个自然社。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，此处划在城里保之内。建国初属第七区城里乡，1956年该乡并入东山乡；1958年9月，它列为杜浔公社城里大队的管辖范围。[1]

1961年7月，湖里自城里大队独立，成为湖里大队，即今湖里村。[2]

姓氏源流[edit]

湖里社的林姓是早居的老住户，刘姓则源于北坂。新厝社的林姓由湖里社分出，洪姓由正阳迁来。[2]

经济与教育[edit]

村中有海水养殖场，以牡蛎吊养为主；另有淡水湖一处，设淡水养殖户。农作物有水稻、番薯、蔬菜、花生与西瓜。[2]

湖里小学于1998年建成校舍。[2]
