历史沿革[edit]
宋代此地属常乐乡绥康里，明清两代属九都，民国时期分属白石乡与霞美乡。[1]
清初顺治年间编为“田边院前保”，康熙年间改称院前保。1944年，院前保改属杜浔镇。[3]
1956年，林前乡并入，组建院前乡。1958年，院前乡并入塔岭乡，同年归杜浔公社塔岭管理区的院前大队；1981年改为院边大队。[3]
1984年8月，院边大队改为院边村委会；1988年5月杜浔乡改为镇后，村隶属杜浔镇。[3]
经济与交通[edit]
耕地以水稻为主，兼产花生和荔枝。村中有果蔬加工厂、机砖厂和工业园区。[1]
省道漳东线贯穿全境，漳诏高速在此设有互通口。[1]
