南峰村位于赤湖镇境内，村庄坐落在南峰山的山脚下，村名由此而来。[1]

1984年，南峰改为村委会，沿用至今。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，南峰属十五都赤湖保。1934年成立南峰保，隶属赤湖联保，联保于1940年改为赤湖乡后仍归其管辖。[2]

新中国初期，南峰设乡，隶属第六区（1955年12月改称赤湖区）。1958年9月成立南峰大队，1984年改为南峰村委会。[2]
