花林村是佛昙镇下辖的行政村，位于镇境东北部的小半岛上，南濒佛昙港湾。村辖花林、后山两个自然村，8个村民小组，花林一带以黄姓为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代属二十三都福兴里，清代改为福兴保；1940年属林东乡林东保。新中国成立初，此地仍是东坂乡，受佛昙区节制。[2]

1958年9月设花林生产大队，归东坂管理区管辖；1984年起按镇建制设为行政村。[2]

人口与姓氏[edit]

花林为黄姓聚居地。

经济[edit]

耕地1081亩，其中水田438亩，旱地643亩；对虾池840亩。[2]

1986年，在花林与前亭镇之间筑海堤2080米，围垦6600亩作水产养殖基地。[2]

清源（花林）自来水厂日产120吨，1991年始建，2007年扩建。[2]

教育[edit]

1944年办起花林小学；1986年，印尼华侨黄良寿捐款盖了新校舍。[2]
