整美村是佛昙镇下辖的行政村，位于镇境东部井尾半岛末端，东临后蔡湾海域，南濒台湾海峡。村名原为金井，因全村共饮一口古井而得，又称井尾，民国初年雅称整美。村辖井尾、山寮两个自然村，7个村民小组。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代属二十三都，清代属新兴堡。民国初归外东区佛昙区，1940年属井尾保。[2]

新中国成立初与邻村合为后井乡，归第五区（佛昙区）；1958年9月设整美生产大队，隶属岱后管理区；1984年9月改为行政村。[2]

人口与姓氏[edit]

村中多姓合居。杨姓出自佛昙杨氏四房祖大韶公一脉，有235户、2125人；蔡、陈、黄等姓也有人家。[2]

清代起各姓陆续迁到井尾定居。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地760亩，全为旱地，主要种花生、甘薯。渔业是全村经济支柱，有捕捞渔船一百六十多艘，滩涂养殖虾池六处，二百多亩。[2]

1987年建成整美码头，村内有整美二级渔港。[2]
