吟兜村是佛昙镇下辖的行政村，位于镇中南部，因三面环山而得名。村东临大白石村，西临石门村。村内有12个村民小组，自然村为吟兜、埭头与下楼。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地属十七都石门上保；1940年归佛昙镇吟兜保。新中国成立初，吟兜归佛昙区的新厝乡管辖。[2]

1958年9月建吟兜生产大队，由佛昙公社的佛昙管理区统辖；1984年起按镇建制设为行政村。[2]

人口与姓氏[edit]

下楼社有部分王姓人家，其余户主多是佛昙杨氏长房的后人。[2]

外出务工者五百多人，大多做烹调行当，村子因此有「厨师村」的别称。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地1119亩，其中水田529亩。吟兜的埭田与大白石滩涂相连，20世纪80年代后期辟为港养区，建成滩涂养殖基地一百多亩，养对虾、鱼类、青蟹、花蛤等。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

「广惠王公庙」原址在村东南的萧山上，清末迁到村内吟兜社。[2]
