埔尾村位于漳浦县旧镇镇东南部，北面是霞屿村，西南面为桥头村，东边隔着浯江下游与竹屿盐场相对。村内辖埔尾、山边、下社、桥东四个自然村，全村685户，3005人，以郑姓为主。[1][2]

水系与交通[edit]

浯江发源于赤土、长桥、湖西三乡毗连之处，流经寨内的浯江桥后，在本村以下注入旧镇港。通往竹屿的县道穿过村境，村中另有简易公路连通霞屿，霞屿的简易公路再接到苑上。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国29年此地属海乌乡埔岩保。民国33年，海乌乡与四股乡组成浯江乡，埔岩保被并进碧树保。新中国初期隶属第八区的下示乡，1956年10月改归旧镇区。1958年9月组成浯江公社下的埔尾大队，1964年9月浯江公社并入旧镇公社；1984年9月改为埔尾村。[2]

姓氏[edit]

村中以郑姓为主，皆由埔尾分衍，建有「积德堂」与「正德堂」两座祠堂。据传埔尾郑氏始祖与旧城郑氏始祖，同于元代自南安双路口前来开基。[2]

名胜古迹与人物[edit]

社前巨石上的佛祖妈庙建于成化年间，祀观音菩萨。[2]

明洪武十八年进士周宗起，官大理寺丞；元代的郑汝德为山边人，任漳州路巡海招讨副使。[2]
