历史沿革[edit]
清代这里属霞潭保，清末至民国初期设后潭保。民国29年属北岭乡，民国33年并入绥安镇。新中国成立初期属第一区（城关区）下辖的乡。[2]
1952年改属城关公社后潭大队，1984年9月隶属城关乡，1988年5月并入绥安镇，成为绥安镇的后潭村。村辖后潭、后埔、竹、郭厝、大园五社，分设13个村民小组。[2]
