石斋社区位于绥安镇中东部，处县城东郊。北面与油车社区相接，南面连着道周社区与绥东社区，东以九曲岭山倒水一带为界。社区内的黄道周讲学处是全国重点文物保护单位。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国29年（1940年）此地属东英乡的下蔡保。民国33年东英乡并入绥安镇，下蔡保与黄仑保、鹿车保的部分地段合为石斋保。新中国成立初期归第一区石斋乡；1956年划分城关镇时，这里归城关乡，1958年9月设城关公社石斋大队。[1]

1984年9月，此地成为城关乡的石斋村，1988年5月改属绥安镇。2002年11月石斋村改称石斋社区，下辖的七个自然村为围内、过潭、河尾、后田、草潭、宪台与荔枝林，分设9个村民小组。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

黄道周讲学处位于石斋村前，原称东皋书舍，始建于明万历三十七年（1609年），明崇祯十七年（1644年）改名明诚堂。1646年南明隆武帝赐表额「文明书院」，2019年10月公布为第八批全国重点文物保护单位。[3][4]
