历史沿革[edit]
1934年，这里划出西街、西隅、西湖三个保，归城厢联保管辖。1940年转入绥安镇，1944年三保又并为绥西保。新中国成立后起初为第一区绥西乡，1957年12月组建城关镇，1958年9月归城关公社，成为绥西大队。[2]
1984年9月，绥西大队改称绥安镇绥西村。2002年11月，绥西村和西街居委会合为一体，构成绥西社区居委会。社区内的西湖社因地处西湖之滨得名。[1][2]
