观阳村旧称「官洋」，村名取自「官宅」的首字「官」与「马洋」的末字「洋」。后因村址地势较高、可见旭日东升，遂取谐音，雅称「观阳」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村庄原为阳山乡的一部分，建国初期改归第三区。1958年组建生产队，归海峰公社管辖，公社撤销后转入陈岱公社；1962年改隶大埔公社。[1]
1967年划归常山华侨农场；1984年由大队改为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
「2023年福建省卫生村」称号于2024年1月授予观阳村。[1]
