宝石村位于乡西南部，与平和县安厚镇相邻，属库区移民村、革命老区村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

相传村边溪中有一块露出水面的巨石，形状像蝙蝠，当地人称之为蝠石，方言读作婆石，后泛称为宝石。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前这里是双地乡下的部福保，解放初则为第五区部福乡所辖。1958年归卫星公社，1961年设宝石大队，1984年撤社设乡，大队改设村委会。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

村境内有宝石下城土楼，以及宝石森林公园。公园内有山峰、天然巨石、桂花树和田园。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2011年，本村为省级生态村。[2]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
