杉脚村位于乡西南，在峰头水库中上游，是库区移民村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

古时村后山上长有杉林，村落处于杉林之下，方言中「下」与「脚」同义，故名杉脚。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年归卫星公社，1961年归新林公社，1964年划入马铺公社。1984年，乡镇体制确立，大队改设村委会。水库修建时，红楼等自然村被淹没，村民迁往外地或本村他处，同年成立杉脚村委会。[4]
