宅后村在云列线沿海边缘，村名是由下辖的两个自然村「宅兜」与「后安」各取一字合成的。[1][2]

地理与人口[edit]

村域山地约800亩，耕地约388亩，滩涂约650亩。[1][2]

博雅地名网记，村中有282户，共1012人；党员计32名，其中60岁以上的为14名，计划生育户99户。百度百科亦记人口1012人，村民使用闽南话。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地属岱屿镇梅山保，解放后划入第三区。1958年建队，隶属海峰公社；1966年转属列屿公社，1984年公社改乡，大队改设村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

民俗文化以开漳圣王巡安民俗为代表。[2]

荣誉[edit]

「2023年福建省卫生村」称号于2024年1月授予宅后村。[1][2]
