历史沿革[edit]
村名古称葭洲，此地原为长满芦苇的沙洲，后经数姓先民筑堤开田，定居成村，土质肥沃，遂雅称“佳洲”。1949年以后，此地先后称佳洲保、佳洲乡、佳洲大队，1984年改为佳洲村，1993年起改属东厦镇，名称仍为佳洲村。[1][3]
地理环境[edit]
佳洲岛位于漳江入海口南北溪的交汇处，是冲积平原岛屿，面积约12平方千米，岛上有佳洲、洲渡两个行政村。2011年，连通陆地的佳洲岛大桥建成通车。[4]
村内耕地约1622亩。村庄在县城东郊，距县城约4公里；据博雅地名网，村子东距国家级红树林保护区约1千米。[1][3]
经济[edit]
村民以农业为主，主要种植水稻与果蔬，番茄、甜椒、小南瓜等品种较多。园区被列为市级农民创业园。[3]
村中有党员92名，村两委干部16人。[1]
文化[edit]
村中的林太师公祠堂又称葭洲祖祠堂，建于明代万历二十年至二十七年（1592年至1599年）。每年农历正月十五，村庄举行“林太师公”神像游村巡安活动。[3]
明代官员林偕春（1537年至1604年）据政府网站称生于本村。其父因葭州近海多盗，举家迁居莆美镇前涂村，林偕春自幼在前涂长大。[3][5]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，村庄入选「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2025年11月，又被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
福建省农业农村厅在2021年的推介文章中，称佳洲村为省级美丽休闲乡村。[3]
