东厦镇位于福建省漳州市云霄县东南部沿海，地处漳江出海口两岸，在县城东南约5公里处。镇下辖15个行政村，镇政府驻东厦村。[2][3][4]
户籍人口以2019年末的60420人为准，镇域面积的统计各有出入：县政府网站记为113平方千米，百度百科记为128.14平方千米。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
民国年间，此地隶属滨江乡；1992年，原东厦乡改设为镇。[1]
地理环境[edit]
镇域背靠梁山，梁山山脉延绵二十多公里，两座水库嵌于山间。[3]
漳江在此注入大海，河口呈喇叭状，咸淡水交汇；海岸线全长34.11公里，山地、耕地与滩涂分别约为19.4万亩、3.14万亩和3.2万亩。[3]
气候类型为南亚热带海洋性季风型。[3]
经济[edit]
东厦镇以农业和水产业为主，旧称“渔米之乡”，有粮食、蔬菜和水产三类生产基地。[3]
据县政府网站，镇内已形成连片生产的锯缘青蟹养殖基地，规模居全国前列；竹塔村出产的泥蚶也是镇内的特产。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
石矾塔矗立在漳江入海口的礁岩上，离县城约20公里，是福建省内唯一的海中古塔。[6][7]
最初的小塔于康熙九年（1670年）由本地士人募资建成，后经云霄厅同知薛凝度于1814年扩建，成为今日七层八角、花岗岩砌成的样貌。1981年经过加固，2009年被定为省级文物。[6][7][3]
东厦高溪庙与观音亭被政府网站称为天地会（洪门）的发祥地：高溪庙据载为清康熙年间前五祖结盟之处，观音亭为乾隆二十六年（1761年）创立天地会的地点。1991年3月，省政府把两庙列为省级文物。[3][5]
镇境内的漳江口红树林保护区建于1992年，2003年升格为国家级，面积2360公顷；2008年，它被收入《国际重要湿地名录》。区内生长红树林，栖息湿地水鸟，还有被列为国家一级保护的中华白海豚。[3][8]
白塔村的龙湫岩、竹塔村的龙泉岩等寺庙也是镇内的名胜，各村条目另有叙述。[3][5]
