地名由来[edit]

村旁有一条小江河，自西北向东南流经村前注入大海，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初，村属第三区曾江乡。1958年归海峰公社的曾江大队，1961年改属陈岱公社；1962年，曾江大队分为下曾、前江、后江头三个大队；1984年改镇后，大队换作村委会，隶属陈岱镇。[1]
