古农村在陈巷镇境内，离镇区约5公里，离县城约10公里，全村832户，村落面积约16平方千米。村内有地热温泉资源，另留有戴宏亮墓与祠堂、遯庵等遗迹。[1][2]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名由古老堀自然村的“古”与侍郎坂自然村的“农”合成，两字方言读音相近。[1]

建国前属恭信乡，建国初属第二区，1954年并大乡后划归树农乡；1958年公社化时设古农大队，1984年改设村民委员会。[1][3]

人口与地理[edit]

2022年12月，获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
