祖地村背靠吴田山，离镇区14公里，下辖8个自然村、9个村民小组。20世纪70年代迁入的南安移民占全村人口的四成以上，村中以砂仁、龙须菜种植为主。[1][2]

地名与沿革[edit]

村庄原名“鸟地”，后改为今名；今名取“祖”指祖先、“地”指土地肥沃之意。[1][2][3]

公社化时期的1958年设祖地大队，1984年改设村民委员会。[1]

人口[edit]

全村556户、1825人；70年代迁入的南安籍移民超过800人，约占全村人数的43.8%。[1]

农业[edit]

主要种作物为砂仁与龙须菜两种闽南特产，砂仁约1500亩，龙须菜约200亩。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年1月，获认定为「漳州市2020年度市级“一村一品”示范村」，产品为中药材。[1]

2022年12月，获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
