大径社区是福建省漳州市龙海区招商局漳州开发区下辖的社区，前身为港尾镇的大径村，2003年撤村设居。[1]

地名由来[edit]

地名最初写作「梅径」，民国以前即与金门县北太武山下的小径村，以及原海澄县南太武山下港尾镇的梅市有关。民国二十八年，据记载，抗战之后地方行政推行保甲制，「梅径」改为「大径」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

抗战胜利的那一年（1945年），此地归海澄县港尾镇的大径保管辖；四年后它并入海澄县第三区，村名定为大径村。[1]

1959年起，大径村隶属港尾公社，编为大队。1960年并县后仍归港尾公社，改由龙海县管辖。1984年建制改为港尾乡大径村，1988年又成为港尾镇大径村委会。[1]

2002年3月，区地合一之后，大径村的行政归属转到招商局漳州开发区。2003年7月8日，村委会被撤销，代之以大径社区居委会，至今仍用此名。[1]
