碧浦村位于南溪中段，是东泗乡政府的驻地，也是全乡政治、经济、文化的中心。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

南宋年间，方姓开基祖方大迎来此定居，方氏族谱记有他在碧江一带开基的经过。村内大部分土地由碧江的浦滩开垦而成，因此得名碧浦社。[2]

村中方姓占98%以上，源出河南光州固始。民国年间，该村隶属海澄县第一区东马乡，称碧浦保。1961年成为东泗公社的碧浦大队，此后到1984年改称东泗乡碧浦村。[2]

人物[edit]

清代人方时雨生于嘉庆年间，咸丰己未年（1859年）为恩科乡贡进士，精于天文气象，对闽南一带的气象预报有所贡献。[2]

据博雅地名网，闽南一带把夏季雷阵雨称作「方时雨」，以纪念他的功绩。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村西临江的古樟树下有碧浦观音佛祖庙，据博雅地名网始建于南宋中期。庙内供奉观音，庙旁西侧附建四间平房作书院。[2]

区政府网站称，碧浦是一块「七星坠地，九龙潭环绕」的宝地，东泗、碧浦、水浒、西岭、松岭五村连线处有地下温泉带。[1]
