虎渡村位于东泗乡东部，由6个自然村组成。据百度百科，该村是全乡唯一通自来水的行政村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名来自村前的虎溪，旧时这里设有虎溪渡，供行人过河。[2]
1947年，此地归海澄县城关乡的虎渡保。1950年设虎渡乡，隶属海澄县第一区。1959年改归莲花公社，成为虎渡大队。1960年两县合并后，它成了龙海县东泗公社的虎渡大队；1984年改为东泗乡的虎渡村，1993年又改为龙海市东泗乡虎渡村委会。[2]
姓氏宗族[edit]
村民以苏姓为主，属卢山衍派。据百度百科，苏氏元代在此开基，村中保存的族谱记载了族人的迁徙经过。[1]
人物[edit]
清代总兵苏明良与抗日烈士苏精诚都出生在虎渡村。[3]
苏精诚生于1915年，1932年中央红军进入漳州时，他在家乡协助宣传抗日、筹款；同年参加中央红军。七七事变后，他在八路军一一五师所属部队任政委，1937年9月参加平型关战役。1941年1月，他在山西武乡县韩壁与日军作战时牺牲。[4]
