东泗乡位于福建省漳州市龙海区南部的丘陵山区，乡政府驻碧浦村，全乡下辖14个行政村。[2][4]

九龙江支流南溪穿过乡境，两岸散布着多处古朴的村落。乡域地下的温泉带，属于高矿化的氯钠型温泉。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

「陈厝」这一旧称，源于宋代陈氏在此立基；明代黄氏迁入后，陈氏陆续离开。闽南话里「陈厝」与「东泗」读音相近，地名于是改用东泗。[2]

解放前此地归海澄县康乐乡。解放后划为海澄县第一区，1958年公社化后仍隶属莲花公社。1960年两县合并，东泗从莲花公社析出，另立公社，并以中心村东泗为名。乡名在1984年定为龙海县东泗乡，到1993年撤县设市后又改为龙海市东泗乡，并沿用至今。[2]

2020年12月，福建省爱卫办给东泗乡授予「福建省卫生乡镇」称号。[2] 1999年至2000年间，乡曾被漳州市委、市政府评为「文明乡（镇）」。[3]

地理环境[edit]

乡境属丘陵山地。东面与白水镇、东园镇相接，西面紧邻九龙岭林场和程溪镇，北面连着海澄镇，南面与漳浦县毗邻。[2]

东泗、碧浦、水浒、西岭、松岭五村的连线一带，地下藏有一条温泉带：宽约0.7千米，长约3千米，水温约83℃。区政府网站称其属富锶温泉。[1]

区政府网站称，全乡森林覆盖率在65%以上；南溪的水环境在九龙江各支流中最好。[1]

区政府网站2023年6月发布的乡镇概况给出的总人口为2.45万人。[1] 百度百科载2026年人口2.28万人。[4] 博雅地名网的约1.56万人则未注明统计时间。[2]

文化[edit]

区政府网站称，乡里的「五古」历史文化资源丰富，传统文化、海丝文化与红色文化在这里交汇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

卓港村的红军楼近年经过修缮，并以红色文化为主题布展，区政府网站称这一工作已经完成。[1]

其他古迹分布在各村：渐山村有敦睦堂和土楼，碧浦村有碧浦观音佛祖庙，溪坂村有翠宁楼，东泗村有洪礁寨。[6][7][8][9]

著名人物[edit]

清代总兵苏明良与抗日烈士苏精诚都出生在虎渡村。[1][5]

东泗村是历史名人黄步全的故乡，他被誉为「龙海保侨领袖」。[6] 碧浦村的方时雨为咸丰己未年（1859年）恩科乡贡进士，闽南一带把夏季雷阵雨称作「方时雨」，以纪念他的功绩。[7]
