秋租村位于九龙江下游一带。厚境村在其西南，田厝村在其东南，海澄镇地新村的新地社在其西北，东北方向紧挨九龙江南溪。村内只有秋租一个自然社。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949至1956年间，秋租与田厝为同一乡。1957年，村与厚境、田厝等村组成大乡；1958年，属卫星公社东园战区。1959年，村成为浮宫公社的秋租大队，之后归东园公社。[1]

1984年，村为东园乡的秋租村；1992年，东园乡改镇，村名变为东园镇秋租村。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

曾姓约占全村人口的九成。曾氏先由厦门市曾厝安迁至厚境村，第六代曾尚东再开基秋租。另有黄姓56户，并有林、郭、蔡、张、王、苏等姓散居各处。[1]
