田厝村位于东园镇东部。村子北侧直抵九龙江东西两岸的出海口，南侧沿西浮公路，西侧与厚境村、秋租村相邻，东侧是东园工业区与凤鸣村。全村辖田厝、新河、顺忠3个自然村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年至1956年，田厝与秋租合为一乡；1957年并入以厚境、秋租等村组成的大乡；1958年列入卫星公社的东园战区。1959年设东园人民公社田厝村队，1984年改为田厝村。[1]

1993年起规划建设第一期新村，1995年村民迁入新居。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

田厝社为曾姓聚居地。曾氏由厚境迁入：开基祖曾魁梧之子曾均德在元末由漳州一带迁往海澄西曾社，后人迁入厚境，第二十八世曾本再由厚境迁居田厝社。[1]

经济[edit]

1990年代末东园工业区设立，田厝村有部分土地划入工业开发用地，至今已建起工业企业十余家。[1]
