过田村位于东园镇南部，在峨浪山南麓。村子东侧是九龙江南溪下游，西面与新林村为邻。南侧隔着南溪与白水镇的方田村遥对，北侧是凤山村。镇道通往浮宫大桥，漳州港高速公路出口也在附近。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代这里归龙溪县四五都。1567年海澄设县，村地随之归海澄；民国时为第一区城东乡所辖。[1]

新中国成立后的几年间，它曾是第五区白水镇的过田乡；随后划入白水区，再入城东区，1958年并入卫星公社。[1]

1959年2月，它从卫星公社分出，成为浮宫公社的过田大队。1961年，归于东园公社。自1984年起称东园乡过田村，那时下辖11个自然村（圳尾亦叫圳美或俊美）。1992年又改为东园镇过田村。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

陈姓为村中大姓，人口逾3000。始祖陈均惠生于宋宝祐二年（1254年），为唐代开漳圣王陈元光的第二十五世孙。宋祥兴二年（1279年），其后裔为避元朝的征调，自北溪迁居峨山。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

龙应寺又称龙眼院、龙锦寺、灵景院，是俊美陈氏的族庙，位于峨浪山下的凤翔山。寺始建于五代，民国时被毁，1990年与1992年先后由台湾与香港的陈氏宗亲集资重建。[1]

陈氏大宗位于俊美社，始建于元至元二十四年（1287年），1993年重修，保存历次修葺的碑文。[1]
