枫林村位于东园镇南部，东侧靠着峨山，西面以南溪为界，南侧与新林村相接，北侧是东园村和埭尾村。同三高速公路自北向南穿过全村。全村辖枫林、仓里、蒋厝、洪地4个自然社。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，此处分属陂内乡与东头乡的枫林保，民国36年并入峨山乡。1950年，村属第五区的新林乡；1953年，它成为再星高级社的第一社。[1]

1958年，过田、新林、埭尾、枫林四村并为新林营。1959年新林营分拆，新林与枫林同设新林大队，1961年枫林另立大队。1984年枫林村隶属东园乡，1992年改称东园镇的枫林村。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

甘姓聚居于枫林、洪地、仓里三社，占全村户数的75%，源流来自河南固始县，宋朝时迁居峨浪山下。[1]

蒋姓聚居于蒋厝社，明嘉靖年间由圳南迁来；蔡姓聚居于洪地，明末由海澄谢仓迁入。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中祠堂有三座：吴姓祠堂在仓里社，始建于清顺治年间；蔡姓祠堂在枫林社，始建于清初，2005年由蔡氏宗亲捐资大修；甘氏祠堂（龙虎脊祠堂）为清初始建。[1]

文化[edit]

蒋厝麦芽糖以大米为主料，配以麦芽酿煮而成，色泽透明，黏性好。全社都掌握酿制技术，改革开放后销往省内外。[1]
