埭尾村位于东园镇西部，南溪下游。村子东面是东园村，西面以南溪为界，南面连着枫林村，北面是茶斜村，全村辖12个自然社。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清代村地属龙溪县四五都，海澄设县后归海澄县，清乾隆年间属城东部保甲。民国时分为后柯保与地尾保，民国36年隶属峨山乡。[1]

1959年，村从新林营分出，设地尾大队，归浮宫公社管辖。1961年起归东园公社，1984年为东园乡的地尾村，1992年定为东园镇地尾村。[1]

姓氏宗族[edit]

地尾社与岸尾社为陈姓聚居地，两社分别由陈姓族人建立，其源流出自开漳圣王陈元光的后裔。[1]

甘姓多居于后厝、前厝、厝仔等社，六壁、后柯与横河也以甘姓为主；顶占、下占为詹姓聚居地；郑厝、过港为郑姓聚居地。[1]

文化[edit]

粉果是东园镇的传统风味小吃，以纯绿豆磨浆、沉淀、蒸制而成，在当地颇受欢迎，如今也常见于宴席。[1]
