建村与得名[edit]
据博雅地名网，村子的名字取自它在八卦中所处的巽位，同时也因开居祖名叫梁玉。[2]
清康熙三年（1664年），这里围海造田，建成巽玉围。梁氏夫妇原来在外地一处围堤看守水闸、耕种田地，后迁到巽玉围定居，传下七房，至今约130户470人。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明嘉靖年间，这里属龙溪县二十八都的浒茂社；清乾隆年间归二十八都浒茂保下的巽玉社。民国28年划入第六区乐群乡的巽玉保，民国36年改属浒茂乡的巽玉保。[2]
新中国成立初期，本地与周边几个村子合并，设为龙溪县第四区的金定乡，1956年改属平宁区金定乡。1959年3月隶属紫泥公社金定大队，1961年析出，设紫泥公社巽玉大队。1984年建乡后称紫泥乡巽玉村，1992年撤乡建镇。[2]
1992年实行双田制，村民分得口粮田和责任田。此后村里逐步调整产业结构，主要改种莲藕、香蕉，并养殖鱼虾。[2]
姓氏[edit]
梁姓居于社内角落，是围垦时迁来的一支后裔，约130户。林姓在1698年迁入中围与尾围，至今传到二十二世，约220户、1200多人。陈姓在1716年迁入下坪，约110户。[2]
村中保留着梁氏宗祠等传统建筑。[3]
水利与生计[edit]
村中村中建有江海堤坝10条，另有水闸8座、大闸2座和跨港桥2座。[2]
村里有水产育苗场、水产加工场和机砖厂，全村约三分之一的农户从事水产养殖，也有人季节性出海捕捞。[2]
荣誉[edit]
据百度百科，巽玉村曾获福建省“种粮状元村”称号，2023年，村子被列入福建省“美丽乡村庭院之星”之列。[3]
