雩林村（别名许林头）属漳州市龙海区榜山镇，位于208省道沿线，城乡分类为主城区。村名来自龙漈山下龙潭旁树林间的龙王庙，村民在那里举行求雨的“雩雨”仪式。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1947年该村属龙溪县文山乡的雩林保，1952年设雩林乡，1956年归平宁区崇福乡。1958年划入红旗公社，1959年成为榜山公社的雩林生产大队，1960年并入龙海县。1984年改为村，1992年撤乡建镇，1993年起称龙海市榜山镇雩林村委会。[1]

地名由来[edit]

另有一说，古时这里是内海，海中生有红树林，船只过此险桥时常常受阻，因而称“苦林头”，“苦林”与“许林”谐音，又成了村名的另一来历。[1]
