历史沿革[edit]
1947年该地属龙溪县文山乡的洋西保；新中国成立初期归龙溪县第二区山北乡。1959年设榜山公社洋西大队，1960年并入龙海县。1984年起隶属榜山乡，村名为洋西村；1992年撤乡建镇；1993年起为龙海市榜山镇下的洋西村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
龙江颂景区占地约430亩，前身是1963年九龙江堵江抗旱的现场，「龙江风格」即由那场抗旱形成。2016年龙江文化生态园开放；2025年9月该园改名为龙江颂景区，属「国家3A级旅游景区」。[2]

2024年6月，洋西村入选福建省第四批「高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
