格林村是港尾镇下辖的行政村。村子建在林木茂密的地方，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1947年此地为海澄县港尾镇的格林保。1952年归海澄县第三区林尾乡，1955年改属港尾区，1956年7月设港尾区格林乡。[1]

1959年成为港尾公社的格林大队，两县合并后仍称格林大队，归龙海县港尾公社。1984年，港尾乡在此设格林村委会；1988年乡改镇后改称港尾镇格林村；1993年起称龙海市港尾镇格林村委会。[1]
