省山村是港尾镇下辖的行政村，村名来自一段迁徙的故事：早先沈氏在寨仔山一带开基，后来江氏迁入，沈氏迁走，村名因此由「沈山」改为与其谐音的「省山」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1946年这里是海澄县港尾镇的省山保。1952年划归第三区古城乡，1955年改属港尾区，1958年9月划入火箭公社。[1]

两县合并后，此地成为港尾公社的省山大队。1984年起设港尾乡省山村委会，1988年改为港尾镇省山村，1993年成为龙海市港尾镇省山村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

省农业农村厅在2022年10月把省山村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
