汤头村是港尾镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域东南部，靠近汤溪温泉，东与上午村相接，西邻东坑村，南面与漳浦县接壤。村名取自村子在汤溪上游一带的位置。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期此地归海澄县港尾镇的汤头保。新中国成立初改属海澄县第三区汤头乡；1958年9月并入火箭公社，次年成为港尾公社的汤头大队。[1]
两县合并后，这里归龙海县港尾公社管辖，仍称汤头大队。1984年起为港尾乡汤头村，1988年乡改镇后改称港尾镇汤头村，1993年定名为龙海市港尾镇汤头村委会，直至今日。[1]
自然环境与物产[edit]
村中有汤溪温泉，泉水为含硫的矿物质水，经常浸泡有保健的作用。[2]
村里出产荔枝、龙眼、杨梅等水果，其中「东厝荔枝」（乌叶）粒大、果甜、果壳薄，远近有名。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内保存着许提督碑亭，建于清雍正年间，为纪念厦门水师提督许良彬而立。碑亭平面四方，攒尖顶，横额刻有「钦赐祭葬」四字。[1][2]
