港尾镇位于福建省漳州市龙海区东南部，濒临厦门湾，与厦门经济特区隔海相望，两地海路相距约5公里。镇内海岸线长30余公里，岸线曲折，有深水港湾可建良港，渔业与海洋水产是镇里的主要产业。镇政府驻梅市村。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域面积的数字有两种：镇政府网站的概况称为108平方公里，博雅地名网则以2002年实行区地合一后的行政区域为准，记为69.6平方千米，较1998年减少了30平方千米。[1][3][4]

南太武山在镇的东南部，离镇区十余公里，山体东北濒临大海，主峰海拔560米，与金门的北太武山并称“姐妹山”。据百度百科，它是厦门湾内最高的山峰。[5]

镇内的汤溪海水温泉被认为有理疗和保健的作用；另有卓岐湖，据镇政府网站，湖面约1800亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

镇内各村在民国时期多属海澄县港尾镇一带，1947年的村级建制可以上溯到那时。2002年，全镇实行区地合一，行政区域面积与1998年相比有所缩减。[3][4]

经济[edit]

镇内以渔业为基础，建有成片的浅海滩涂养殖区，并有外海捕捞船队。水产品加工、工艺品制造、机械制造与码头仓储是镇里的几项主要行业。[1][4]

镇政府网站称，镇里着力发展杨梅产业，深沃村的海鲜排档已形成一条街。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

南太武山的山巅保存着南宋绍定年间的“普明延寿之塔”石匾与塔基遗址，据称该塔曾作海上丝绸之路的航标；岩壁上有明代将领的题刻。山中原有古刹福兴寺，始建于唐代，宋代重修。[5]

镇政府网站另列有明、清时期建造的南炮台与天妃宫。[1]

浯屿岛在镇的海域，位于九龙江入海口，面积0.96平方千米，属港尾镇浯屿村。[6][7]

交通[edit]

镇境内有两条省道经过，招银疏港高速与沿海大通道也穿过镇域，厦漳跨海大桥亦已通车。[1]
