下庄村位于漳州市龙海区程溪镇，是镇内的一个行政村，村名经过多次改写。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子形状狭长，如同一只虾，最初叫虾庄，后写作霞庄。因闽南语中霞庄与下庄读音相同，最终改名下庄。[1]

旧属南靖县程塔乡外云保；新中国成立初设下庄乡，属南靖县第六区。1957年改归龙溪县，公社时期是程溪公社下庄大队，1960年并县后仍归程溪公社。1993年，村委会改称龙海市程溪镇下庄村委会。[1]
