程溪镇位于龙海西部山区，在漳州市区西南侧，紧邻国道324线，是龙海区面积最大、山地最广的一个乡镇。[1][3]

菠萝、竹笋、蝉花是镇里着力培育的三个特色品牌。该镇的“联片调解”化解矛盾办法，被评为全省先进典型，属于枫桥式工作法的实践。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

镇名的来历，据博雅地名网，是元代此地物产渐丰、富商聚集，土产经两条溪流以程船和放筏运出，地名便取两溪行程船之意，称为程溪。[3]

南宋高宗建炎二年（1128年）前后，外地居民陆续迁来定居，当时人口稀少，村落分散，交通闭塞。[3]

早期隶属两说不同：博雅地名网记为南朝梁代属龙溪县，明正德十三年（1518年）划归南靖县；另据百度百科，秦代属闽中郡；1928年（民国十七年）起属南靖县程溪区。[3][4]

1957年起改隶龙溪县并设程溪区，1959年成为程溪公社，合县后隶属龙海县。[3][4]

1984年由公社改称乡，1988年升为镇；1993年龙海由县改市，镇随之称龙海市程溪镇；2021年龙海撤市设区，镇归漳州市龙海区管辖。[3][4]

地理环境[edit]

镇域在龙海西部：北面与九湖镇相连，东侧靠南靖县，南侧与漳浦县分界，西侧邻接平和县。全镇面积247.3平方千米，林地约32万亩，森林覆盖率在88%以上。[1]

境内的大尖山是龙海最高峰，湖后水库是区内最大的湖，另有汤兜温泉，属原生态温泉。[1]

人口民族[edit]

第七次全国人口普查时，全镇人口为3.50万人。[2] 2019年末户籍人口为39566人。[4]

经济[edit]

镇政府网站称，全镇已形成食品、建材、花卉三大产业集群，并培育菠萝、竹笋、蝉花三大特色品牌。[1]
