磁美村是白水镇的行政村，与庄林、下田、井园、山边等村相邻。村名由磁灶与山边的奇美两个农业社合办时各取一字组成。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地是漳浦县松庄乡的磁灶保，1952年改属第三区磁灶乡；此后划归海澄县，1959年归浮宫公社，设磁美大队。[3]

1960年并县后，这里是白水公社的磁美大队；1984年起称磁美村委会，1993年龙海改市，村委会随之属龙海市白水镇。[3]

经济[edit]

村里以养猪为主业，养猪大户较多，肉猪年出栏量较大。[1]
