金鳌村是白水镇的行政村，位于镇域内，与郊边、井园、山美等村相邻。村名的来源有两说：宋代时此地盛产车蟹，旧称「车蟹」；村境内的祈雨石上刻有「金鳌灵山」，村因又称「金鳌」社。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

旧属海澄县白水镇金鳌保，1950年划入第五区楼埭乡，1959年归浮宫公社，设金鳌大队。1960年并入龙海县白水公社，1961年自楼埭析出，独立成大队。[3]

1984年起称龙海县白水镇金鳌村；1993年龙海改市后，村委会名称改为龙海市白水镇金鳌村委会。[3]

经济[edit]

村民以种植杨梅、生猪养殖为主，也有人外出务工经商。镇内的金鳌—井园糖果加工区位于本村与井园村一带。[4]

2022年12月，村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
