上房村位于镇境西北部，国道324线从村中穿过，东邻东山村与福龙开发区，西北接福井村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

溪边是船只起帆的地方，闽南话称“上帆”，后来讹作“上房”。[2]

沿革[edit]

1952年设为上房乡，1958年并入田边农场，1959年又并入芸山畜牧场。[1]
