村里有一口井，相传能带来福气，村名因此叫福井。[1]
沿革[edit]
1978年设福井大队；1984年村名定为龙海县角美镇福井村；1993年起为龙海市管辖的村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有树龄约500年的荔枝树、400年的秋枫树和300年的枫香树。[2]
