石厝村与角美集镇相邻，位于镇中心区北部，东接国道319线，西邻霞屿和东山村，南连石美村，北接国道324线。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋初此地统称新岱四门头社，属龙溪县永宁乡海洋下里；明代属二十九、三十都的新埭上、新埭下社。民国时期先属龙凤乡石厝保、霞边保和上店保，后归角美乡新岱保，新中国成立后属第七区石厝乡。1958年村属火箭人民公社，次年并入角美人民公社，编为石厝大队。1984年起隶属角美镇，1993年5月归龙海市管辖；2012年改用今名。[1]
村庄属革命老区村，是角美镇被列为革命老区的三个村社之一。[2]
