埔尾村位于角美镇南部，东与沙坂村、蔡店村为邻，西接杨厝村，南面隔着九龙江北港，与紫泥镇遥遥相对。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村地古称“白石”，因出产白石而得名。元代晋安林氏迁入后，以莆田祖地“埔尾”命名社，又称莆山。[1]

沿革[edit]

1947年隶属石美乡埔尾保，1956年至1958年划入东山区埔尾乡。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

埔尾妈祖庙又称崇德堂，明代嘉靖年间始建，清道光十八年（1838年）重建。[1]
