解放西社区位于漳州市龙海区石码街道，以解放西路得名。它的辖区在民国时期属龙溪县石码镇新洲保先庵保，早先称尚港街。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时，这里属龙溪县石码镇的新洲保与先庵保，最早叫尚港街。新中国成立初期，它隶属龙溪县第三区，分为新仙街与南市街；1958年，新仙街归石码公社。[1]
并县之后的1960年，仍属石码公社；1966年，它更名为龙海县石码镇下的解放西居委会。2003年，它改由龙海市石码镇辖下的解放西社区居民委员会管理，此名沿用至今。[1]
