新华社区位于漳州市龙海区石码街道，名称取自新华路。它的辖区在民国时期属龙溪县石码镇新杉、祥福与古碗竹等保，2003年整合为现社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，这里分属石码镇的新杉、祥福与古碗竹三个保。新中国成立之初，划入龙溪县第三区，属新福街中街；1958年归石码公社管辖，下设新福与新中街。1960年并县后，改称龙海县石码公社。[1]

1966年改称石码镇新华居委会，1988年后仍以新华居委会为名。2003年4月社区整合，改为新华社区居民委员会。[1]
