石码街道是福建省漳州市龙海区下辖的街道，也是龙海区人民政府所在地。它位于九龙江下游，坐落在锦江南岸，西距漳州市区约21千米，是龙海区的政治、经济与文化中心。[1][3]
石码旧称石溪，因沿江垒石筑坝得名；快懂百科载，石码曾与石狮、涵江并称福建「三大名镇」。2003年8月，石码镇撤镇设街道，行政区域与驻地保持不变。[2][3][4]
历史沿革[edit]
此地古称石溪，明宣德年间改称锦江。明弘治元年（1488年）设锦江埠，居民沿江垒石筑十二坝抵挡海潮，此后改称石码。明嘉靖五年（1526年）设立石码镇。[3][4][6]
清顺治元年（1644年）此地设立水陆关卡和文武官署，康熙元年（1662年）修筑石码城并调水师驻防。乾隆八年（1743年）设石码厅，管辖龙溪、海澄、南靖、长泰四县的海防事务。[4][6]
民国时期石码长期为龙溪县的一个区。1945年撤区，复设石码镇。1958年4月恢复镇名。1960年龙溪、海澄两县合并为龙海县，县党政机关设在石码镇；1993年龙海撤县设市，石码镇仍是市政府驻地。[4]
2003年8月，福建省人民政府批复同意撤销石码镇、设立石码街道。2021年龙海撤市设区，石码街道获得新的行政区划代码，即350604001。[2][3][4]
地理与人口[edit]
石码位于九龙江西溪与北溪汇合处的下游，锦江南岸，北隔锦江与紫泥镇相望。街道辖区面积5.26平方千米。[2][3][4]
2020年末，街道总人口70413人。截至2024年12月，人口约6.56万人，辖4个村委会、17个居委会。[2][3]

当地民间文艺有芗剧、锦歌和布袋戏等。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
石码历史文化街区以老城骑楼为主体。2020年4月，福建省人民政府认定其为第四批省级历史文化街区。2023年8月，该街区的保护规划获得批准，规划范围为53.08公顷。据凤凰网报道，街区内现存骑楼千余座。[5][6]
后港古街沿蔡港河展开。2018年起，龙海区先行修缮后港片区的旧城风貌，整治蔡港河，修复5条石板桥，并拓宽古街路面。[6]
南台庙主祀汉闽越王无诸，据载始建于明万历年间，清光绪年间里人温瑞等重修。1956年因兴建医院而被拆除，1993年在附近的南台庙巷重建，由蔬菜村群众集资完成。[7]
荣誉[edit]
2000年，石码被福建省委、省政府授予「文明乡镇」称号。[3]
2011年4月，石码街道获环境保护部授予的「2011年度国家级生态乡镇」。2015年2月，中央文明委命名石码街道为「第四届全国文明村镇」。[1]
